Dog Channel finally launches on Tuesday 23rd October 2007, on Information TV, Sky Channel 167.

After much planning and filming the pilot episode of The Dog Channel finally went to air on Tuesday 23rd October at 4pm on Information TV. This edition is  repeated every Tuesday at 4pm, Thursday at 7.30pm, Saturday at 3pm and Sunday at 7pm, and at the same days and times for the next five weeks After that it’s a new programme every two weeks. Also don’t forget that it’s also simulcast on the Information TV website.. We’d like to thank all those who have taken part in this first edition, and all those who have sent us emails of support. Here’s to what looks to be a long and prosperous future for the channel.

The Dog Channel is an exciting new television channel specifically for dog owners and dog lovers in the UK.

On the Dog Channel we will be covering a wide range of topics, and will be the only channel in the UK dedicated entirely to man’s best friend.

Over the coming months some of the items we will be featuring include dog training, reviews on your local dog training club, following a dog channel logofamily who are looking to introduce a dog to their family for the first time, solving your doggie problems with the dog doctor, places to walk your dog, holidays with your dog, working dogs and lots lots more.

Our programmes will be broadcast here on the website and also on Information TV, Sky Channel 167.

The beauty of this channel is that you control the content! We’re interested in your ideas on features and programmes you would like to see covered on The Dog Channel.

Maybe your club is holding a funday and you’d like us to film a report there, or maybe you’re a dog trainer or vet and interested in getting involved with the channel as an expert to film regular features, or you’re a videographer and would like to film regular pieces for broadcast. Whatever you’re idea is WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!!! Email us your thoughts and ideas to editorial@thedogchannel.co.uk
